I am a keyboardist who started playing the piano at the age of three. Since receiving professional training in high school and college, I’ve studied piano performance with Dr. Thomas Lymenstull and Dr. Spencer Myer, historical performance with Dr. John McKean, Dr. Heejin Kim, and Dr. Jonathan Oddie, and organ with Dr. Libor Dudas and organist Lois Leong. My competition and performance highlights, including international festivals and solo recitals across the U.S., Europe, and Asia, can be found under the Music tab.

I am also deeply interested in research at the intersection of music and cognitive science. My research experiences include work with the Music Cognition Lab at Longy School of Music under Dr. Jie Ren, the Music and Mind Lab at Indiana University under Dr. Andrew Goldman, and the Psychophysiology and Neuroscience Applied to Media Lab at IU’s Media School with Dr. Rob Potter. My collaborative and independent studies have been presented at the International Conference on Music Perception and Cognition, the Society for Music Perception and Cognition Conference, and the Annual International Communication Conference.​ A full list of my research projects can be found under the Science tab.

Outside the lab, I produce and write across several WeChat Official Accounts with a combined readership of over 110,000. My articles—often receiving thousands of reads each—cover topics including music and science, the lives and careers of musicians, and mental health in the arts.
